Christmas Day!!

Here I am attempting to cook Christmas dinner (never done that before!) on a bar-b-que ..... it all felt 'not quite right', not a turkey to be seen....

We had steak, king prawns, snags (!!), tomatoes, onion & mushrooms and salad all wrapped up in turkish flat bread.... yummy

We spent the late afternoon and evening at this beautiful lake about 15 minutes drive from where we live... it was lovely but didn't feel at all like Christmas.... no hats, scarves, gloves or frostbitten noses... outrageous!

Happy Christmas to you all out there! Very odd to see all that sunshine. Evie looks uncannily like Sue did when she was her age. Glad to hear you're all settling in OK. If a couple of grand falls from the sky we'll come and see you.

We had a good time although - Jo's brother was up briefly and (hurrah!) Sue and Paul stayed over for a night. It was brilliant to see them and I hope we can bump into them again.

I'm busy with an essay for Uni and Jo's out having a pre-birthday drink tonight (you can't really go too wild on a Tuesday night in Lancaster).

Anyway, always interesting to read your news. Happy New Year to everyone for 2009 from Cliff Jo and the girls x

endings and beginnings......
