I love this place......
it's been like a second home to us for a LONG time now.....
countless holidays, weekends, Christmases
and birthdays have been enjoyed here....
today we went for a walk along the quiet country lanes
and enjoyed the beauty of the hazy, wintery sunshine and
the patchwork of fields bounded by hedgerow......
we were greeted by a herd of sheep being shepherded
along the road, and by the smell of the cows in the nearby fields.....
in its former life it was three little labourers cottages
{one up and one down kind of places} and was thatched....
can you just see it in your minds eye.....
it's still standing strong after 600 years and I for one am
very thankful that I get to spend special days here with very special people.....
