There's no place like home....

So nice to have both my babies back (they would be aghast if they knew I had just called them babies, but you know what I mean!) Isaac had a super-duper time on camp and came home as dirty and exhausted as Evie had...... so, a great time was had I presume!

He did some 'bush' stuff - bush walking, bush cooking (they made dampa & ate it with butter and jam - they cooked the dampa on a stick over the campfire) and some identification of native 'beasties' and animals. He also did shelter building, canoeing, high rope courses, archery, ate loads of yummy food, watched a couple of movies and generally had a great time - the Harry Potter tombe he took with him had hardly been touched when he got home - now that's saying something for Isaac!

As far as our next family adventure goes we have just booked a few nights in Canberra and a few nights in Sydney during the spring holidays (mid-end of September). We have been told that the science museum in Canberra, Questacon, is fantastic and Floriade will be in full bloom (we hope!) Then it's off to Sydney to do some of the iconic tourist things (got to have a photo of that Opera House and Bridge - though Brian has refused to do the bridge walk due to his dislike of heights!!) We're hoping to travel back via the south-east coast taking a few days so that we can stop at beaches and beauty spots.... sounds just lovely! Just 6 weeks to go......
